Bores you?

What bores you?

What bores me most is when people drone on endlessly about topics that I find un interesting. Nobody likes having to listen to someone go on and on about a subject that they are not even interested in. It can be really draining to have to sit there and attentively try to listen, when all I want to do is move away from the conversation as soon as possible.

Another thing that bores me is being in an unchanging environment. Whether this is an administrative office with standard cubicles, or a school classroom with the same lesson plans every week, having to stay in a single place for long periods of time just doesn’t work for me. I thrive off of new experiences, cultures, and people, so being stuck in a place that never changes just isn’t going to do it for me.

I also find that repetitive tasks and conversations can be boring. When conversations are derailed or become stilted, they can seem to drag on forever. Similarly, when I’m doing the same things over and over again, it can become quite tedious and boring.

Lastly, when people don’t listen to me, I find it boring and annoying. It’s like talking to a wall. I want to be heard, and if people won’t listen to me then why bother trying to engage with them?

Overall, what bores me most is having to stay in the same place for too long, having conversations that go nowhere, doing the same tasks over and over again, and not being listened to.

Response to “Bores you?”

  1. This was a great insight into your life, Graham. I can relate that doing the same things over and over or not finding any changes in your environment would be boring. Sometimes conversations without depth can be boring, too. It was great to hear more about you. Big hug xx
